// CYPHER PUNK

The network cannot be owned. Knowledge cannot be buried. Anonymity is not a crime — it is the only rational response to a world that surveils everything it touches.

WHO I AM

CypherFx

CypherFx. Cypher Punk. Operating from the edges of the network.

Privacy researcher, libre software advocate, and digital security practitioner. I work with individuals, journalists, and collectives who need their communications to stay theirs.

My tools are open. My methods are documented. My allegiance is to the free flow of information — not to any platform, state, or corporation.

If you are being surveilled, censored, or threatened — reach out. Encrypted contact only.

THE MANIFESTO

01

A statement of belief. Not a request for permission. Read it or don't. Share it freely.

The internet was born free. Not free as in beer — free as in speech, as in thought, as in the fundamental right of every human being to communicate and to learn without requiring the permission of any authority.

That freedom is under siege. By governments that fear their own citizens. By corporations that profit from surveillance. By the quiet normalisation of censorship dressed as safety. We have watched the commons be enclosed, fenced, and monetised. We have watched the infrastructure of communication become the infrastructure of control.

We reject the notion that software must be proprietary. Code is speech. When you cannot read the code running on your machine, you cannot trust it. When you cannot modify it, you are subject to it. When you cannot share it, knowledge is hoarded by the few. Free software is not a preference — it is a political necessity.

We reject the notion that hardware must be closed. From the silicon up, every layer of the stack can be a vector for control. Proprietary firmware, hardware backdoors, trusted execution environments locked against their owners — these are not features. They are leashes. Libre hardware is the foundation of trustworthy computing.

We reject the surveillance economy. Your data is not a product to be harvested and sold. Your browsing history, your location, your private messages, your relationships — these belong to you. Encryption is not the tool of criminals; it is the tool of anyone who understands what privacy actually means. Cypherpunks write code. We encrypt.

The censors will always call their targets dangerous. The whistleblowers, the journalists, the activists, the dissidents — labelled criminals while the powerful operate in daylight. We do not accept this frame. Access to information is not a privilege granted by those in power. It is a right to be claimed by those with the knowledge to claim it.

We remember those who were silenced. We remember those who were made examples of. We do not forget. We do not forgive the systems that crushed them. And we continue building — the networks, the tools, the knowledge — so that the next generation does not start from nothing.

This is not nihilism. This is construction — of infrastructure that cannot be captured, of communities that cannot be surveilled, of a digital commons that belongs to everyone and to no one at once. The internet must be free. Software must be free. Hardware must be free. Knowledge must be free.

ACCESS IS CONTROL.
CONTROL IS POLITICAL. — CypherFx
