What Can I Learn About You?

Short answer: more than you would like. This page is a live demonstration of everything a completely ordinary website can figure out about a visitor — using nothing but the request your browser sent and a pile of standard browser APIs. No exploits. No malware. No permission prompts. Just the defaults.

Every time you open a web page, your browser volunteers a surprising amount of information. Your IP address reveals roughly where you are and who your provider is. Your User-Agent announces your browser and OS. A few lines of JavaScript can measure your screen, count your CPU cores, probe dozens of hardware features, and quietly build a fingerprint that follows you around — no cookies required.
